Quick answer: WSG gives small and growing businesses a competent person to call for health and safety advice, so you can name WSG as your appointed health and safety advisers. It comes with SafeGuard Pro (£1,895 +VAT a year) and SafeGuard Pro Max (£2,395 +VAT a year). Both include your health and safety paperwork produced for you and PQS accreditation at SSIP level, with the membership fee paid.

Peace of mind about health and safety

You're good at the job, not the paperwork. When a client asks who your competent person is, or a tricky situation comes up on site, you want a straight answer from someone who knows. That's what you get: plain English, no jargon, and a fixed annual price, so there are no surprise invoices.

What you get

  • A competent person on call: advice by phone and email when you need it. You can name WSG as your appointed health and safety advisers.
  • Your paperwork produced for you: policies, risk assessments and other documents written for your business and loaded into SafeGuard.
  • Accreditation sorted: PQS accreditation at SSIP level with the membership fee paid, plus support with the other schemes your clients ask for.
  • Everything kept in date: SafeGuard gives you RAMS in under 10 minutes, 95% done on the first go, and holds your RAMS, COSHH assessments, training matrix, policies and certificates, and reminds you before anything expires. Staff can sign documents on their phones.

FAQs

Do I legally need a competent person for health and safety?

Employers must appoint one or more competent people to help them meet their health and safety duties. That can be you, someone in your team, or outside help such as WSG.

Can I name WSG as my health and safety adviser?

Yes. With SafeGuard Pro or Pro Max, you can name WSG as your appointed health and safety advisers.

How quickly will I get advice?

We usually reply within 30 minutes during office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).

Is this a long contract?

Pro and Pro Max have a 12-month minimum. Pay annually upfront, or a setup fee and then monthly by Direct Debit. Your data is yours, and we'll export it for you on request.

How does this compare with paying a consultant by the day?

You get a fixed annual price that covers advice, paperwork, accreditation and software, so you know your costs upfront.
