The entry level
The basic health and safety check most main contractors ask for. It's the entry level of pre-qualification, and it gives you a recognised health and safety accreditation.

CHAS Advanced
Health and safety, plus other key areas
Everything in Standard, plus the standard pre-qualification questions many clients use. It helps you show you're compliant in other key areas beyond health and safety, like environmental, quality and equality.
In short: for clients who want to see more than health and safety.
CHAS Elite
The top level
The highest level of pre-qualification available. It meets the Common Assessment Standard that public sector and many large main contractors require, covering 13 areas of risk management.
In short: needed for public sector work.

There are two parts. Our CHAS application help costs £395 to £1,095 +VAT, depending on your level and team size (use the instant quote for your exact price). Your CHAS membership fee is separate: it's set by CHAS, depends on your level and team size, and you pay it to CHAS directly.
Once we've got what we need from you, we aim to have your CHAS application submitted for assessment within 2 to 3 working days, and it's often sooner. Then CHAS assesses it. That normally takes CHAS 10 working days, but if you're new to CHAS, our free fast-track means they assess it in 2 working days instead.
We've got a 100% success rate on all applications. If CHAS comes back with questions, we deal with them. And if your application doesn't get through, you get back the fee you paid us, as long as you've done your part, like sending what we ask for and signing the documents we prepare. Terms apply.
We'll give you a clear list. Usually it's things like your insurance certificates, company details, and details of your team and their training. Send us what you've already got. We sort out anything that's missing, like risk assessments.
Both are recognised health and safety accreditations, and many clients accept either. But some name the one they want, and some housebuilders now ask for SMAS. Check what your client has asked for, or give us a call and we'll tell you. We help with SMAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor too.
