Frequently Asked Questions:
Question1: Which course is right for me?
We offer two adult workplace first aid courses:
1 – Emergency First Aid at Work – This course is ideal for smaller workplaces with fewer employees or those that do not have many significant hazards (such as office environments). It is delivered over one day.
2- First Aid at Work – This course is suited for workplaces with a larger workforce or where significant hazards are present (such as construction or manufacturing sites). It is delivered over three days.
If you work with children, you may also need to consider Paediatric First Aid training.
Question2: How many first-aiders should I have?
You should have enough people trained in first aid so that there is adequate cover available at all times. You should consider the size of the workplace and how employees are distributed across it, along with holiday and sickness cover.
Question3: How long does first-aid training last?
Our workplace first aid training comes with HSE (Health and Safety Executive) compliant certification which is valid for 3 years.
Question4: Can I complete a first aid course online?
Online first aid training alone is not sufficient training to become a designated workplace first aider. A face-to-face course must be completed for this appointment.

Benefits of On-Site Training
There are many benefits to choosing on-site training, and it’s something we considered to be the most effective when it comes to ensuring your team is comfortable with the training we are offering. There is no travel needed, no additional cost of hiring a venue, and of course, you have one of our exceptional instructors all to yourself.
And please, if you need any first aid training that is not specifically mentioned on the site, we can create bespoke courses too – please simply contact us to find out more.
To achieve this goal we have made booking your training as easy as 1 - 2 - 3
1. Choose which course is most suitable to your business
Choose the right course for your business and speak to us if you’re not sure which one is best. Remember that if your workplace has fewer hazards and a small number of employees, a one-day first aid course should suffice. If your workplace contains more hazards and/or you have a lot of employees, a three-day course is going to be better
2. Use the contact form on our contact page to request the course type and date and timings that suit you
Use our specially designed online booking tool to book the course you want on the date you want. Our instructors work across the UK, and in most cases, we can accommodate any time or date request.
3. Our highly experienced instructor will attend your workplace (or any venue arranged by you)
At the time and date you’ve requested, one of our highly experienced first aid instructors will come to your workplace or outside venue. They will bring all the course materials you’ll need with them, and all you need to do is be there to enjoy the course.
Delivered by qualified instructors
Our first aid courses are delivered by qualified instructors with a vast amount of training and real-life experiences to draw upon to ensure that your team is trained to the highest possible level. Our instructors range from nurses to serving frontline paramedics, to ex-military medics, each one with the knowledge and skills required not just to impart the information, but to make the course enjoyable and memorable too.
One first aider per 50 people is the government’s minimum advice, but it’s often best to train several people in first aid even if you don’t technically have to. Why is this? What would happen if your first aider was on holiday when they were needed? What would happen if they were the one who needed first aid care? Plus, if everyone is trained, your workplace is going to be a safe and secure place to be.
The level of the first aid training you choose for your staff members will depend on the hazards present within your business. If you’re unsure about which training course is going to be best for your team, don’t hesitate to speak to one of our experts who will be able to give you all the information you need to make the right choice. You can rest assured that no matter which course you come to us for, each one is fully compliant with the current HSE requirements.
